Top Ten Books I Loved With Under 2,000 Ratings on Goodreads {Top Ten Tuesday}

Hello guys and welcome to another Top Ten Tuesday post, which I haven't shared for a while! Hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, it's actually one of my favorite weekly memes, which I've really missed talking about on the blog! So, today, we're going to be talking about the Top Ten
Make sure to click on visit the home page for today's topic and let me know which underrated books you've fallen in love with! While going through my Goodreads read page in order to find which titles to feature for today's topic, I realized that, I haven't really read as many as I had thought. In the book community, we usually go for the ones that are promoted the most through social media and don't really bother to look deeper into what might interest us, as individuals. I've gone way out of my comfort zone with the books I had to read for my Literature classes this past semester so, this post is dedicated to titles that I immensely enjoyed and more people need to know about!
*Dial Meow For Murder {Lucky Paws Petsitting Mystery #2} By Bethany Blake
Publication Date: September 2017
Genres: Cozy Mystery

This was the first Cozy Mystery that I read and its complexity was mind blowing. It was the perfect introduction to this hybrid - kind of - Genre and I cannot recommend it enough! I haven't read the first book in the series which meant that, I did come across some gaps but, they didn't really affectmy understanding of the story as a whole!

*Scythe {Dimension Drift Prequel #1} By Christina Bauer
Publication Date: April 2018
Genres: Young Adult, Fantasy

This is more of a novella introduction to a series and I was intrigued by it from the moment I started reading! I feel like Christina Bauer is an underrated author in general and she deserves so much more recognition for her work! It's not long but, don't let that fool you! It contains brilliance!

*Promised Lies {Detective Blanchette Mysteries #1} By Marguerite Ashton
Publication Date: March 2017
Genres: Mystery, Crime

I came across this one completely by accident and I couldn't have been more grateful for it! It was so well written and its development was both impressive and shocking! Cannot recommend it enough!
*The Fragile Ordinary By Samantha Young
Publication Date: June 2018
Genres: Young Adult, Contemporary, Romance

I've read most of Samantha Young's novels - favorite author alert - and I have to say that, The Fragile Ordinary is one of my favorites! I actually teared up while reading it, which doesn't happen all that often so, that has to tell you something!

*Daughter of the Centaurs {Centauriad #1} By Kate Klimo
Publication Date: January 2012
Genres: Young Adult, Fantasy

I read this years ago but, I do remember enjoying its authenticity and the way it was written! I have featured it in the past but, it's definitely been a while!

*This Cruel Design {This Mortal Coil #2} By Emily Suvada
Publication Date: October 2018
Genres: Young Adult, Science Fiction, Dystopian

This was probably one of the best sequels I've ever read! I would've definitely featured This Mortal Coil as well if I could've so, I'm urging you guys to go ahead and get your hands on both! One of the best Dystopian series I've read in years, which is a huge thing after the Genre's general decline, which we definitely will talk about in a future Discussion post so, stay tuned!
*The Daemoniac {Dominion Mysteries #1} By Kat Ross
Publication Date: October 2016
Genres: Historical Fiction, Paranormal, Mystery

Another novel I stumbled upon completely by accident and fell in love with from the minute I started reading! It's impressive and immensely enjoyable! It's dark, it's scary and it's more than unique!

*By A Charm and A Curse By Jaime Questell
Publication Date: February 2018
Genres:Young Adult, Fantasy

By A Charm and A Curse is definitely a novel you wouldn't expect to see featured for a topic like this, especially if you're very active in the book community. Not saying that to offend or anything because it was one of my favorites for last year and it really impressed me with how creatively it handled the circus theme, which I've never found intriguing in the past. Until I came across this particular novel. It was all over social media and a lot of promotions featured it, which is why I was immensely surprised to see that it has less than 500 ratings on Goodreads! Anyway, it's more than worth reading and you guys definitely need to give it a chance!

*Fawkes By Nadine Brandes
Publication Date: July 2018
Genres: Young Adult, Historical Fiction

Another book I kept seeing all around social media and was surprised to see had less than 2,000 ratings on Goodreads! Granted, Goodreads isn't the most dependent platform since, some people might read books but, not add them there but, we have to admit that it's probably the biggest book recommendation/review site! I more than enjoyed Fawkes and if you're fans of Historical Fiction with a little bit of Fantasy thrown in, this is the book you're looking for!

*A Touch of Gold By Annie Sullivan
Publication Date: August 2018
Genres: Young Adult, Fantasy, Retelling

Another novel I kept seeing all over social media, A Touch of Gold is a retelling of King Midas and his golden touch! A Greek Myth of a King who greediness cost him his daughter! This is an incredible spin on the original tale and the plot twists that make up the majority of it will definitely render you speechless!

That was it for today's post! Hope you discovered some new books you'd like to add to your shelves! Make sure to let me know which underrated books you're read and loved! Also, don't forget to let me know if you've already read any of the ones mentioned above!
Until the next post,
