Most Anticipated Book Releases - Part 2! {June Edition!}

Hello guys and welcome to the second part of June's most exciting new releases! I do these every month, in case you're wondering but, I'm a bit behind on next month's releases so, I might have to pose these with only one or two days apart, which I usually avoid! Make sure to let me know which books you're anticipating the release of the most, mark your calendars for the ones featured in today's post and of course, don't forget to check out
*A Reaper at the Gates {Ember Quartet #3} By Sabaa Tahir
Publication Date: June 12
Genres: Young Adult, Fantasy

The majority of our community is desperate for this one so, I thought it'd be fitting to include it first! I've had An Ember in the Ashes on my shelves for quite some time and unfortunately, I haven't managed to read it yet. I really need to get back on track and actually pick it up before the year is over, because I'm extremely curious to see what the hype is all about! Unpopular opinion time but, I'm not really a fan of these new covers and I'm more than sad that, the original ones were discontinued so abruptly!

*The Mermaid By Christina Henry
Publication Date: June 19th
Genres: Historical Fiction, Fantasy, Retelling

I absolutely love Christina Henry's descriptive writing style and natural talent for turning classic tales into fascinating stories of horror and mayhem! If it weren't for my reading/buying challenge, I would've pre-ordered her newest release already but, I'll just have to be patient, read five books and then just check out with it, as soon as I'm done! It's a wonderful spin on the Little Mermaid tale so, you really need to mark your calendars for this one!!!

*Dive Smack By Demetra Brodsky
Publication Date: June 19th
Genres: Young Adult, Contemporary

I'm really excited for this one because it sounds extremely intriguing for a Contemporary! Covers can be quite deceiving by the way, because as soon as I laid my eyes on this one, it looked like Fantasy. But, it isn't! Theo Mackey only remembers one thing for certain about the fire that destroyed his home: he lit the match! Doesn't that first line from the synopsis make you want to read it? Make sure to stay tuned because, I might have a tour stop coming up for it sometime in June!
*The Bird and the Blade By Megan Bannen
Publication Date: June 5th
Genres: Young Adult, Fantasy

I discovered this one while browsing through Goodreads and was immediately attracted to its fascinating cover and even more fascinating title! I haven't really seen it around but, it truly sounds amazing! The synopsis is too complicated to try and explain in just one line so, make sure to go ahead and read it! I promise that you won't regret it!

*Smoke In the Sun {Flame In the Mist #2} By Renee Ahdieh
Publication Date: June 5th
Genres: Young Adult, Fantasy

This is another very popular and much anticipated release so, I had to include it in this post! I actually got my hands on Flame In the Mist quite recently but, wasn't really in the mood for its writing style! I really need to give it a fair chance and read it when I really feel like it because it truly sounds amazing and unlike anything I've read before!

*Nightblood {Frostblood Saga #3} By Elly Blake
Publication Date: June 5th
Genres : Young Adult, Fantasy

This is another series I've had on my shelves for some months and really need to read before the year is over! I have no idea how many books are going to be in this series but, overall, it sounds very interesting and I cannot wait to finally start it!
*Trail of Lightning {The Sixth World #1} By Rebecca Roanhorse
Publication Date: June 26th
Genres: Young Adult, Urban Fantasy

I came across this one completely by accident and was quite impressed by how promising it sounds! It follows a world drown in a climate Apocalypse and a monster hunter, who uncovers a sinister truth while called in to find a missing girl! It's seriously at the very top of my Wishlist and I cannot wait to get my hands on it!

*Now You See Her By Lisa Leighton & Laura Stropki
Publication Date: June 26th
Genres: Young Adult, Contemporary, Mystery

Doesn't the cover of this one make you want to pick it up and read it immediately? Sophie and Amelia, two girls that lead different lives but, whose paths intertwine in a tragic accident that changes their lives! When Amelia's car breaks down in the middle of a rainstorm, a man she thinks is a Good Samaritan pulls over to help her. When he tries to abduct her instead, she escapes into oncoming traffic. Head over to its Goodreads page and read the synopsis for what happens next!

*A Thousand Beginnings and Endings By Ellen Oh
Publication Date: June 26th
Genres: Young Adult, Fantasy, Anthology

I've never been a huge fan of short stories and usually avoid them like the plague but, this one sounds more interesting than I'd expected! Fifteen bestselling authors re-imagine the folklore and mythology of East and South Asia in short stories that are by turns enchanting, heartbreaking, romantic and passionate.
*Whisper of the Tide {Song of the Current #2} By Sarah Tolcser
Publication Date: June 5th
Genres: Young Adult, Fantasy

This is a series I'm desperate to start before the year is over! It sounds truly enchanting and I've never read anything like it before! I've heard really good things about the first book and I'm seriously fascinated by its premise!

*Rage {Stormheart #2} By Cora Carmack
Publication Date: Unknown
Genres: Young Adult, Fantasy

I read the first book in the series last year and really enjoyed it so, I was extremely excited when I read the synopsis for its sequel! Unfortunately though, due to Cora Carmack's epilepsy diagnosis, the release date was pushed back, something I wasn't aware of when putting these images together! I really want to wish her the best and I'm sending an abundance of positive thoughts her way!

*City of Bastards {Royal Bastards #2} By Andrew Shvarts
Publication Date: June 5th
Genres: Young Adult, Fantasy

I featured the first novel in the series a couple of months ago but, haven't managed to read it yet! The series sounds quite extraordinary and like something I'd personally enjoy so, fingers crossed that I'll actually be able to get my hands on the first novel soon!
*The Orphan's Wish {Hagenheim #8} By Melanie Dickerson
Publication Date: June 26th
Genres: Young Adult, Fantasy, Retelling

Melanie Dickerson is an author whose books I've been wanting to pick up for quite some time so, why not start with this Aladdin retelling? This isn't really a series, it consists of companions that are retellings of different myths and stories, which sounds absolutely magical so, if you guys have read any of them, please let me know!

*Jar of Hearts By Jennifer Hillier
Publication Date: June 12th
Genres: Mystery, Thriller

This is the story of three best friends: one who was murdered, one who went to prison and one who's been searching for the truth all these years...Another first line from a synopsis that makes you want to get your hands on the book immediately, right? These people know what they're doing, that's for sure!

*Bring Me Their Hearts By Sara Wolf
Publication Date: June 5th
Genres: Young Adult, Fantasy

I'm so excited to be participating in the Blog Tour for this one so, keep an eye out for my stop in June! It sounds amazing and on the Paranormal side so, make sure to mark your calendars for its release!

That was it for today's post guys! Hope you found it helpful and discovered new releases to add to your TBR lists! Make sure to come back in a couple of days for the last part of June's most anticipated releases!

Until the next post,
