Stacking the Shelves - The ''Too Much Is Never Enough'' Edition!

Hello guys and welcome to this week's Stacking the Shelves post, hosted by Tynga's Reviews. Stacking the Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course, e-books! Make sure to visit the launch page to learn more and visit more wonderful STS posts!

This was a pretty eventful week so, if you want to see what I added to my shelves, just keep reading! Also, make sure to let me know if you've read any of these and whether you enjoyed them or not! Don't forget to leave your links in the comments and let me know what you added to your shelves this week!

I ordered a couple of used titles from Awesome Books which is based in the UK and was really satisfied with the condition of the books they sent me! I'm thinking about doing a future Discuss & Wonder on where I get my books from so, if you'd be interested in it, let me know!

*Raised By Wolves {Raised By Wolves #1} By Jennifer Lynn Barnes
Publication Date: June 2010
Genres: Young Adult, Paranormal

Believe it or not, this is one of the very first series I added on my Goodreads TBR shelf as soon as I signed up! I do remember it because I was extremely intrigued and I've been wanting to read it since then! I haven't seen it around that much but, I don think I'll enjoy it because I love books about werewolves and Paranormal creatures in general!

*Shadow Study {Soulfinders #1} By Maria V. Snyder
Publication Date: December 2014
Genres: Young Adult, Fantasy

If you've followed this blog for a while, you'll know that the Study series is one of my all time favorites but, I never got around to picking up the next three books that were released pretty recently! This is a case of me being afraid to continue with it because I don't want to be disappointed but, also being desperate for what happens next!

*The Bone Season {The Bone Season #1} By Samantha Shannon
Publication Date: August 2013
Genres: Young Adult, Science Fiction, Dystopia

I've been wanting to pick up The Bone Season for many many years but, never got around to doing so. I cannot wait to read it because it sounds very intriguing and it's been years since I've actually picked up a Dystopian!
*Etiquette & Espionage {Finishing School #1} By Gail Carriger
Publication Date: February 2013
Genres: Young Adult, Steampunk

Another series I've been wanting to start for a while and I cannot wait to finally read! It was all the rage back when it first came out and I remember reading another book by the same author and really enjoying it so, fingers crossed I won't be disappointed by this one!

*The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender By Leslye Walton
Publication Date: March 2014
Genres: Young Adult, Magical Realism

I don't think I've ever read a novel categorized as Magical Realism before, even though they sound very interesting. It just never happened for some unknown reason and I never came across them at the bookstore. But, this is one of my most anticipated reads and I'm dying to read it! I've heard the best about it and I'm just so excited that I found it for super cheap!

*These Shallow Graves By Jennifer Donnelly
Publication Date: October 2015
Genres: Young Adult, Historical Fiction, Mystery

This was a completely impulsive purchase but, I get even more excite every time I look at it sitting on my shelves because I'm really into Historical Fiction right now and the combination of the Genre with Mystery is definitely what dreams are made of!
*R.I.P Eliza Hart By Alyssa B. Sheinmel
Publication Date: November 2017
Genres: Young Adult, Contemporary

One of my most anticipated releases of last year has finally arrived! This looks like a very heartbreaking read and I can't wait to finally read it!

*Bad Girls Don't Die {Bad Girls Don't Die #1} By Katie Alender
Publication Date: April 2009
Genres: Young Adult, Horror, Paranormal

Another trilogy I've been wanting to get my hands on for a while. Surprised? Didn't think so. The main character's sister is possessed by an antique doll and the rest is history!

*My Grandmother Sends Her Regards and Apologizes or My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She's Sorry By Fredrik Backman
Publication Date: June
Genres: Contemporary, Fiction

I was debating on which of Fredrik Backman's novels to pick up first and decided to start with this  one! I saw it on someone's 2017 favorites list and I was immediately sold! The Book Depository had it on sale for half price so, that definitely helped!
*The Last Namsara {Iskari #1} By Kristen Ciccarelli
Publication Date: October 2017
Genres: Young Adult, Fantasy

Another one of my most anticipated reads that I've actually already read! Stay tuned for a review coming up sometime during the month!

*The Cruel Prince {The Folk of the Air #1} By Holly Black
Publication Date: January 2018
Genres: Young Adult, Fantasy

I'm pretty sure you all expected to see this one included in one of my Stacking the Shelves posts sooner or later! I haven't read every single one of Holly Black's books but, she's definitely become one of my few auto-buy authors so, I cannot wait to read The Cruel Prince.

*Lost Boy: The True Story of Captain Hook By Christina Henry
Publication Date: July 2017
Genres: Horror, Re-telling

You guys know how much I loved Alice by the same author and her twist on the original tale blew my mind so, I'm pretty sure the same thing will happen with this one!

Hope you guys enjoyed this post! Make sure to go and enter my February Most Anticipated Release Giveaway and comment down below with the titles you've added to your shelves this week!

  1. Looks like you've gotten some pretty awesome books. I really want to get around to the Poison Study books, they sound so intriguing to me. I also want to read the Last Namsara, it sounds like a great book. I'm also looking forward to getting my hands on the Cruel Prince. I've heard of Bad Girl Don't Die, but I haven't read it yet. I'll have to get around to it eventually. This week I added Batman Nightwalker to my collection as well as The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud. I hope you have a good week!
