Happy New Year & My Resolutions For 2018!

Before I get started on this post, I really want to wish every single one of you, a Happy New Year! I sincerely hope 2018 brings happiness and joy for you and your loved ones. May you fall in love with old books and re-discover old ones. And most importantly, may all your dreams come true in the best way possible. You have 12 new chapters and 365 days to make it happen! Let today be the start of your best novel in life yet!

I also want to thank you from the bottom of my heart, for making 2017 so much better than it would've been if I hadn't joined the Blogging community again. Picking up from where I left off on this Blog was probably one of the best choices I've made in quite some time! I started blogging after taking exactly a year off from Book Lady's Reviews in February and it was an impulsive decision that, I couldn't have been happier for! I don't have a schedule on what days I post which isn't going to change because I'm spontaneous like that. I don't like feeling as if an invisible force is pressuring me to post at an exact day and a particular time so, no scheduling posts beforehand for me. Excerpt for events and blog tours, which are kind of excluded from that little rule of mine.

What are your New Year's resolutions? Keep reading this post if you want to find out all about mine!

💧This one goes for actual Blog Giveaways and not just the ones you can enter through events hosted at Book Lady's Reviews. By hosting Blog Tours and Promotional Events in general, I feel like I can share with you intriguing books that you might not have heard of before - which I love doing because discovering new books to add to my endless TBR list is one of my favorite pastimes - and have countless opportunities to win amazing prizes from the Giveaways that are always included! But, I haven't hosted any Giveaways as an actual Blog, which I sincerely hope I'll be able to change during 2018. Getting a new job would be great for this particular resolution and I really hope I'll be able to save some money in order to offer you guys the opportunity to win New Releases and novels of your choice. A Giveaway is definitely coming up in February because of my One Year Back Blog Anniversary so, I hope you'll all stay tuned for it!

💙Hosting Giveaways is also one of the best ways to give back to you guys for your support which, I'm more than grateful for so, there's more to come!
💮In all the years I've been an avid reader, I've never stuck to this one. Yes, guilty as charged. I have so many unread books I desperately need to get through. And I always pick up a new book immediately after finishing the one I'd been reading but, rarely do I choose one from the books I already own. Which is the story of my life these days. I should probably limit myself to one new book per five books read from my TBR shelf but, I'm pretty sure that I won't be able to go through with it. We'll see how it'll go without setting a particular number of books I have to read before purchasing a new one and I'll let you guys know later in the year!

❄I'm going to make a list of books that I want to read each month, that are already on my physical TBR shelf and share them with you guys in a separate post! Hope I'll remember to pack the ones that I have on my bookshelf here, to take back with me in Greece. I obviously have more unread books waiting for me there but, the majority is still at home.
🌈This is definitely a way of life but, I kind of neglected reading during 2017. Even though it was a great reading year, I didn't read as much as I would've liked and I really want to change that in 2018. This resolution is solely for personal fulfillment and satisfaction. One chapter per day is all I need to satisfy my insatiable need for reading so, hope I'll be able to stick to a couple of chapters or pages per day!
🍃The year went by with me writing ten discussion posts only! Can you guys even believe the extent of my failure? I really want to find more topics I can talk about and maybe branch on a few subjects when it comes to reading in general throughout the new year. I really need to start brainstorming on ideas and topics I could talk about so, if you guys have any recommendations please, let me know!
🍁I have so many unfinished series that I've actually lost count. But, I really want to round up the ones I actually want to finish this year and try to do so in order to narrow them down!

💛Here are the five series I plan on finishing for sure during 2018:
*The Grisha Trilogy By Leigh Bardugo
{Shadow and Bone was one of my 2017 favorites so, I cannot wait to actually finish the trilogy! I'm currently reading Siege and Storm but, I forgot to bring it with me so, it'll have to wait for a bit.}
*The Darkest Minds By Alexandra Bracken
{I read The Darkest Minds years ago but, never got around to picking up the rest of the books in the series. It was such an amazing novel that, I definitely want to revisit the world Alexandra Bracken created and learn what happens in the end! I remember the heartbreaking ending of the first book but, I think I actually want to re-read it before continuing on with the rest!}
*Scarlet By A.C. Gaughen
{I've talked about this series before because it's one of my all time favorites but, Lion Heart has been sitting on my shelves since it came out and I haven't read it yet. I might have to re-read Lady Thief before picking it up but, I don't think it's going to be necessary if I can go through the most important parts of it that I can still remember. Quite vividly in fact!}
*Healer By Maria V. Snyder
{Maria V. Snyder is one of my favorite authors and I started this series a while back so, hopefully, I'll be able to finish it during the new year! I loved Touch of Power but, I think I'll definitely have to re-read this one before picking up the rest!}
*Splintered By A.G. Howard
{The majority of people that follow Book Lady's Reviews know that I'm obsessed with anything that has to do with Alice in Wonderland. I read Splintered ages ago and it definitely needs to be added to my re-reads list because I cannot remember a single thing about it. I've always wanted to finish this particular series but, never got around to doing so. I hope 2018 will be the year that I'll finally be done with it!}
💜This is the most important resolution of the year and one I plan on living by every single day of the year! I'm going to keep dancing my heart out every single week, draw everything that comes to mind and read until the early hours of the morning! I also plan on spending every moment being grateful for the things that I have and wait patiently for those that are yet to come! Quality time with the people that have earned a special place in my heart is a priority that I've never neglected and the same goes for spending an infinite amount of time with Loki! Writing is also a big part of the plan, for 2018! It always has been but, just getting it out there!

Hope you guys have a wonderful New Year and spend it doing the things that are important to you, with the people you love! Stay tuned because, we still have a long way to go and more posts are coming your way! I'm also going to post the two challenges I'm going to be participating in along with the TBR books I want to read in 2018, in my next post!

Until then,
