Most Anticipated Book Releases - October Edition! {Part 1}

Hello guys and welcome to yet another Most Anticipated Book Releases post! It's been a while since I've put together one of these because of some issues I've had but, hopefully, I'm going to stick to the schedule this time around! I have a lot of posts ready to go up within the next month or so, because I'm going to have a small surgery next week and I didn't want to neglect Book Lady's Reviews anymore by not being consistent. Make sure to mark your calendars for any exciting releases that interest you and don't forget to comment down below and let me know all about your most anticipated book releases coming out in October!
*My Whole Truth By Mischa Thrace
Publication Date: October 2nd
Genres: Young Adult, Contemporary, Mystery

I've really been into Contemporary lately, which is weird because my preferred Genre has always been Fantasy and this one sounds like something I haven't come across before! The Mystery element to it makes it sound even more intriguing and the title definitely adds the cherry on top!

*Imagine Us Happy By Jennifer Yu
Publication Date: October 23rd
Genres: Young Adult, Contemporary

The main character of this one, which is also the Contemporary in case you haven't notices, has depression. I feel like mental illness in books is starting to get the exposure it should've acquired long ago but, every author's interpretation of it is completely different and might not always be fully accurate. Which is why I'm more than interested in picking up this one!

*That Night By Amy Giles
Publication Date: October 23rd
Genres: Young Adult, Contemporary

This one follows a mass shooting that changed the lives of everyone who experienced it and was affected by the destruction it left behind. The two main characters were both present at the shooting and their paths cross at their shared after school job, where they start to become friends!

*Words We Don't Say By K. J. Reilly
Publication Date: October 2nd
Genres: Young Adult, Contemporary

Another Contemporary that sounds heart breaking and raw, which just adds to the long list of things I find intriguing and would like to get my hands on!
*What If It's Us By Becky Albertalli & Adam Silvera
Publication Date: October 9th
Genres: Young Adult, Contemporary

I've never read any of the authors' work before but, I've been seeing this everyone on Instagram and the book community in general so, it had to be part of this post! It looks like a very quick and easy read, that follows a quite complicated story line that I'd definitely be interested in exploring further!

*Odd One Out By Nic Stone
Publication Date: October 9th
Genres: Young Adult, Contemporary, Romance

Yet another Contemporary I'm dying to get my hands on! This has such an interesting and diverse premise, which has basically restored my faith in humanity! Odd One Out follows one story with three sides to it and has no easy answers to ease its complexity!

*A Very Large Expanse of Sea By Tahereh Mafi
Publication Date: October 16th
Genres: Young Adult, Contemporary

I don't even need to express my obsession with Tahereh Mafi's writing because if you have followed Book Lady's Reviews for a while, you'll definitely be aware of it! I'm just going to say that this is waiting for me on Kindle to devour it and I threw a part when the publisher accepted my request to review it! A couple of days later, it became available for download on Edelweiss so, if you guys are interested in it, you might be able to find it there!

*Home And Away By Candice Montgomery
Publication Date: October 16th
Genres: Young Adult, Contemporary

First of all, I absolutely love the cover of this one! Its premise sounds mysterious and diverse, which is something that we should address at every opportunity and always keep fighting for!
*Fight or Flight By Samantha Young
Publication Date: October 9th
Genres: Adult, Contemporary, Romance

Samantha Young is another author whose work I basically swear by so, not much explanation here! This is her newest Romance novel and hopefully, I'll be able to get my hands on it sooner rather than later!

*Dear Evan Hansen By Val Emmich
Publication Date: October 9th
Genres: Young Adult, Contemporary

According to Goodreads, a simple lie leads to complicated truths in this bighearted coming of age story of grief, authenticity and the struggle to belong in an age of instant connectivity and profound isolation! It has a very interesting premise, to which I won't do much justice by trying to explain in this post so, make sure to click on the link to its page and read it for yourselves!

*Someday {Everyday #3} By David Levithan
Publication Date: October 2nd
Genres: Young Adult, Contemporary, Fantasy

I've always wanted to start this series and my need to actually figure it out keeps growing since I watched the movie trailer! I have no idea whether it's accurate or not as a movie adaptation but, it definitely piqued my interest so, I had to include this one in today's post!

*What They Don't Know By Nicole Maggi
Publication Date: October 2nd
Genres: Young Adult, Contemporary

Another Contemporary *surprise, surprise* that sounds heartbreaking and I'm more than intrigued by! The title definitely adds a bit of mystery to it and it sounds like something I'd personally enjoy!
*Consumed {Firefighters #1} By J. R. Ward
Publication Date: October 2nd
Genres: Contemporary, Romance

I've never read a J. R. Ward...NEVER! Can you believe it? Because I definitely can't! Most of her series are always so long but, I can actually start this one without feeling overwhelm that I'll never get to finish it because Consumed is the first in it!

*Broken Things By Lauren Oliver
Publication Date: October 2nd
Genres: Young Adult, Mystery

I have read Delirium by Lauren Oliver and I have to admit that, I wasn't really impressed with her writing style and I also never got to finish Before I Fall but, I'm willing to give this one a chance, just for the sake of trying!

*The Last Wish of Sasha Cade By Cheyanne Young
Publication Date: October 2nd
Genres: Young Adult, Contemporary

The main character's best friend has died of cancer and she can't imagine life without her. Then, a letter from Sasha arrives and sets Raquel on an elaborate scavenger hunt that will lead her to a mysterious boy waiting for her at her best friends grave. Together, they'll set out on an adventure to honor Sasha's last wish!

*Coming November By Katrin van Dam
Publication Date: October 30th
Genres: Young Adult, Contemporary

This follows a young girl whose mother loses her job and instead of searching for a new one, spends every waking moment with a group called the Next World Society, whose members are convinced they'll be leaving earth on November 17th! Her mother's obsession turns her world upside down and tears to tear their world apart, while she's scrambling to hold it together!

That was it for today's post guys! Hope you find this helpful and mark your calendars for the releases that interest you the most!
