Monthly Blog Wrap Up {March 2018 Edition!}

Hello guys and welcome to an extremely belated March wrap up! I've been awful at keeping up with posts these past couple of weeks because I didn't manage to schedule anything even though I knew it'd be a busy month for me! I'm definitely a last minute person but, I do try to schedule some posts because it makes life so much easier! Unfortunately, the last weeks of March and the first weeks of April have been pretty hectic and I had so many other things I wanted to post that, I couldn't find an empty spot for the wrap up! I was also unable to host a Giveaway for April but, I'm going to try and plan one for next month! I've just contacted the winner of my previous Giveaway so, stay tuned for more to come!

Make sure to let me know how many books you've managed to read during the month of March and whether it was as productive as you'd thought it'd be! Also, don't forget to follow me on Instagram for bookish updates! I'm extremely glad for taking a bunch of pictures beforehand and not having to stress about that as well! Definitely going to keep doing that in the future!
*Stalking Jack the Ripper {Stalking Jack the Ripper #1} By Kerri Maniscalco
Rating: 🐈🐈🐈🐈
Would I recommend it?

Yes! Even though it didn't blow my mind and I kind of predicted what would happen, I really enjoyed the pace of the story and how suspenseful it felt! It was such a fast read and I'm so glad that I finally decided to pick it up! Can't wait to continue on with the series and see how it will progress!

*A Perilous Undertaking {Veronica Speedwell #2} By Deanna Raybourn
Rating: 🐈🐈🐈🐈.5
Would I recommend it?

Obviously! I read the first book in the series in February and absolutely fell in love with it! I went ahead and ordered this one right away, which has only happened a handful of times in my entire life! I have to admit that the pace was a bit slower than it was in A Curious Beginning but, I absolutely love Veronica and Stoker and cannot wait to pick up A Treacherous Curse. Kind of holding off on that one since there's still no publication date for the fourth book so, fingers crossed they'll announce it soon!

*Lion Heart {Scarlet #3} By A.C. Gaughen
Rating: 🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈
Would I recommend it?

Of course, are you kidding? This has been one of my favorite series for years but, I never had the guts to actually finish it! Lion Heart was everything I hoped it'd be but, I really wish it could've been longer! I'm definitely going to be re-reading the trilogy soon since I wasn't able to before picking this one up!
*Pacifica By Kristen Simmons
Rating: 🐈🐈🐈🐈
Would I recommend it?

Definitely! This is a terrifyingly relevant Sci-Fi Dystopian, set in a world that has been destroyed by climate change and pollution! Kristen Simmons is an amazing storyteller and Pacifica was such a unique novel, based off of something that I haven't read about before!

*A Promise of Fire {Kingmaker Trilogy #1} By Amanda Bouchet
Rating: 🐈🐈🐈🐈
Would I recommend it?

Surprisingly, yes! I went into this knowing nothing about the series and ended up enjoying it more than I thought I would! I found it to be a bit overwhelming in the sense that, so many things were happening at once but, it was very entertaining and enjoyable to read! I discovered it while browsing through the Book Depository, checked out with it and read it as soon as it arrived! Which was probably the best thing I could've done!

*To Kill A Kingdom By Alexandra Christo
Rating: 🐈🐈🐈🐈
Would I recommend it?

Yes, yes and again, yes! I loved this novel so much and if you've been looking for a dark book about Sirens, To Kill A Kingdom has come to save the day! I usually stay away from novels about Sirens/Mermaids for the same reason I mostly stay away from books about Fairies! They're never dark and twisted enough. They don't represent their true nature which frankly, is more than savage! I loved how this novel covered almost everything and their true nature shined through its plot!
*Relative Strangers By Paula Garner
Rating: 🐈🐈🐈
Would I recommend it?

Maybe! I really enjoyed the beginning but, the ending and the characters' behavior really frustrated me for the majority of the book. The idea behind it is very interesting but, I found it to be a bit problematic in terms of character development!

*Falling Into Place By Amy Zhang
Rating: 🐈🐈🐈.5
Would I recommend it?

This is a tricky one because it has a writing style that's very lyrical and I personally enjoy but, most people have trouble getting used to! It does have an unreliable narrator that I wasn't a big fan of but, it did have an impact on me, as a person and actually brought me to tears a couple of times. It was a very meaningful story that I feel like people need to read in order to fully understand!

*Sneaking Out {Chased #1} By Chuck Vance
Rating: 🐈🐈🐈🐈
Would I recommend it?

Yes, especially if you're a fan of Young Adult Mysteries! It's not a Genre I've come across very often and I love discovering new books so, when I had the chance to sign up for a review copy, I couldn't resist! It was a very complex story that I could not predict at all and I can't wait to see what will happen next in the series!
*The Queens of Innis Lear By Tessa Gratton
*Stalking Jack the Ripper {Stalking Jack the Ripper #1} By Kerri Maniscalco
*Children of Blood and Bone {Legacy of Orisha #1} By Tomi Adeyemi
*Relative Strangers By Paula Garner
*Sneaking Out {Chased #1} By Chuck Vance
*Pacifica By Kristen Simmons

That was it for the posts that went up in March. I'm so behind on everything but, hopefully, I'm going to catch up soon and post everything I need to post before this month is over! Hope you guys found this helpful!

Until the next post,

  2. Looks like you read some pretty great books in March. To Kill A Kingdom has been on my TBR and I really want to get to it. Glad you enjoyed it. I've heard great things about Stalking Jack the Ripper, but I haven't gotten around to it. I hope April is a good reading month for you as well.
