Top Ten Books I Hope Santa Brings {Top Ten Tuesday}

Hello guys and welcome to another Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Today, I'm here to share with you the Top Ten
This topic is extremely overwhelming to say the least. Want to know why? There are over 1000 books on my Goodreads TBR list. Can someone tell me how I'm supposed to choose? And, most importantly, Santa never brings anything book related my way. Yes, you heard that right. I don't read Greek books - translations are usually terrible - and my parents aren't that well versed in the art of ordering stuff from the Internet.

Anyway, make sure to let me know which books you're hoping for this year and whether you've read any of the ones featured below! Also, don't forget to leave links to your posts in the comments!

*A Curious Beginning {Veronica Speedwell #1} By Deanna Raybourn
Publication Date: July 2016
Genres: Historical Fiction, Mystery

I discovered this series quite recently and I cannot get it out of my mind. It sounds so intriguing and I probably won't stop thinking about it until it's in my hands, ready to be devoured.

*Stalking Jack the Ripper {Stalking Jack the Ripper #1} By Kerri Maniscalco
Publication Date: September 2016
Genres: Young Adult, Historical Fiction

This book sounds so intriguing and I've had my eye on it since it came out. I love stories that have to do with Jack the Ripper and as soon as I read the synopsis for this one, I was reminded of an old favorite of mine, The Name of the Star by Maureen Johnson. It's not Historical Fiction but it does feature Jack the Ripper so, if you've read this one and enjoyed it, you'll probably enjoy that one as well!

*Shadow Study {Study #4} By Maria V. Snyder
Publication Date: December 2014
Genres: Young Adult, Fantasy

I probable feature this one in every single Wishlist post. No, I still have not managed to get my hands on it and I'm getting quite desperate.

*Bitterblue {Graceling Realm #3} By Kristin Cashore
Publication Date: May 1st
Genres: Young Adult, Fantasy

I love Graceling and Fire but, I still haven't managed to get my hands on this one and finish the trilogy. Graceling introduced me to Fantasy as a genre and made me fall in love with it so, I'm a bit ashamed of myself for not picking up Bitterblue yet.
*A Wrinkle In Time {A Wrinkle In Time Quintet #1} By Madeleine L'Engle
Publication Date: March 1962
Genres: Children's Fantasy, Classic

Yes, I mostly want to get my hands on this because of the movie. I have every intention of watching it so, I really want to read the book before doing so. I've been wanting to get my hands on it since the beginning of time but, for some reason, always held back. I always read a book before watching its movie adaptation so, it's definitely an amazing excuse to finally pick this one up!

*Whichwood {Furthermore #2} By Tahereh Mafi
Publication Date: November 2017
Genres: Middle Grade, Fantasy

I read Furthermore quite recently and absolutely fell in love with it! I'll probably never get tired of reading Tahereh Mafi's novels because her writing speaks to me in a ways that I cannot explain so, there you have it! Whatever she writes, I'll read and Whichwood is no exception!

*The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making {Fairyland #1} By Catherynne M. Valente
Publication Date: May 2011
Genres: Middle Grade, Fantasy

This is probably one of the few books who's been on my Wishlist for years. I keep seeing the sequels at the bookstore but, they never have this one! I always order my books from The Book Depository because it's one of the only sites that ships to Greece for free and I make sure to get the books that are at the very top of my Want-to-Read list. This one hasn't made it there, so far. But, I'd love to get it from Santa this year!
*Saint Anything By Sarah Dessen
Publication Date: May 2015
Genres: Young Adult, Contemporary, Romance

I've only read one Sarah Dessen book and I really enjoyed it so, I really want to get my hands on more of her novels and support her work! Starting with this one because I'm quite intrigued by it!

*Never Fade {The Darkest Minds #2} By Alexandra Bracken
Publication Date: October 2013
Genres: Young Adult, Dystopia

I read The Darkest Minds many years ago and it was definitely one of my favorites back then. For some reason, I never picked up the sequel but, I've always wanted to finish the series. I just didn't know whether it was worth it. It's been announce that, there's going to be a fourth book - a companion if I'm not mistaken - and it kind of made me want to pick up this one even more!

*The Alchemists of Loom {Loom Saga #1} By Elise Kova
Publication Date: January 2017
Genres: Young Adult, Fantasy

I've wanted to start this series since the first book came out and three books have already been released in it, throughout 2017. Are you kidding me? When am I supposed to catch up?

That was it for today's post guys! Let me know if you've read any of these or if you're interested in them! Until the next post,

  1. Saint Anything is one of my two favorite Dessen novels, so I hope you get it! I'm actually hoping I get her most recent book, Once and for All, so that's a fun coincidence.

  6. I see SO MANY beautiful things on this list! I would honestly die to get any of these for Christmas! Whichwood's cover is like an addiction!!! I can't stop staring at its beauty OMG!!! Although, I did not love Stalking Jack The Ripper. I thought it was going to be MUCH more thrilling and informative about the psychopath, but the mystery never managed to fully grip me. I hope you maybe enjoy it though!

    1. I'm dying for Whichwood's cover! The artist in me is literally fawning over its perfection! It gives off a very mysterious and magical vibe! As for Jack the Ripper, I'm so sorry you didn't enjoy it and truth be told, I don't want to go into it with high expectations either, because I've heard mixed reviews and I definitely don't want to be disappointed. I just read the synopsis of the sequel though and it sounds so good! The title is extremely catchy as well!
