*Gunslinger Girl By Lyndsay Ely

This one reminded me of a Western movie, as soon as I saw its cover! It sounds amazing and I doubt that I've read anything like it before. This is a debut and its main character is described as a cross between Katniss Everdeen and Annie Oakley. I'd say that's a pretty awesome description, don't you think?

*The Defiant {The Valiant #2} By Lesley Livingston

Publication Date: January 23rd

Genres: Young Adult, Historical Fiction

The Valiant has been sitting on my shelves for a while now and the release of the sequel has definitely motivated me to pick it up soon! I haven't come across a book that has to do with female Gladiators before so, if you're looking for something unique and authentic, this is the perfect choice for you!

*The English Wife By Lauren Willig

Publication Date: January 9th

Genres: Historical Fiction, Mystery

I'm extremely excited for this one and it's definitely at the top of my list! Historical Fiction combined with Mystery is more than right up my alley and I cannot wait to get my hands on it!

*Thunderhead {Arc of a Scythe #2} By Neal Shusterman

Publication Date: January 9th

Genres: Young Adult, Science Fiction, Dystopia

I've heard amazing things about Scythe and I'm definitely interested in starting the series during the new year. Let's add this to the never ending list people!

*Batman: Nightwalker {DC Icons #2} By Marie Lu

Publication Date: January 2nd

Genres: Young Adult, Fantasy

The concept of the series in general sounds super exciting and something that's never really been done before. I'm a huge fan of superheroes and I live for Marvel but, I've never been a huge fan of DC. Regardless of that fact though, the idea of these books definitely appeals to me!

*Unearthed {Unearthed #1} By Amie Kaufman & Meagan Spooner

Publication Date: January 9th

Genres: Young Adult, Science Fiction

These two authors have already co-written a series - which I haven't picked up yet - and when I saw that they decided to write another one together, I was quite surprised and intrigued!

*Pretty Dead Girls By Monica Murphy 

Publication Date: January 2nd

Genres: Young Adult, Mystery

So excited for this one! I think I've read a New Adult book by Monica Murphy but, I'm not completely sure. I'm hosting a blog tour for this one in a couple of weeks so, make sure to stop by and check it out!

*Truly Devious {Truly Devious #1} By Maureen Johnson

I read The Name of the Star by Maureen Johnson and really enjoyed her writing style! It's about a private school and a cold case that dates back to its founder. His wife and daughter were kidnapped shortly after the school opened and our main character has taken it upon herself to solve the case, many years later!

*A Conspiracy of Stars By Olivia A. Cole

Genres: Young Adult, Science Fiction

I'm not the hugest fan of Science Fiction but, truth be told, the synopsis of this one peaked my interest. It sounds unlike anything I've read before so, I'm definitely interested in reading it!

 *Pretty Girls Dancing By Kylie Brant

Genres: Thriller, Mystery

I've been so into Mystery lately that, I just want to binge read whatever intrigues me and belongs to the Genre! Reading a couple of Agatha Christie books in succession will do that to you!

*The Long Deception By Mary McCluskey

Publication Date: January 30th

Genres: Horror, Mystery

Another one that would make a great movie! It's sounds quite interesting and perfect for those of you who enjoy these types of books! Myself included, of course!

*The Devil's Claw {Jennifer Dorey Mystery #1} By Lara Dearman

Publication Date: January 9th

Genres: Mystery, Thriller 

Super intrigued by this one as well. I'm pretty sure you're extremely tired of me describing new releases as intriguing and such but, it's the truth! I sincerely apologize!
