Best Books of 2017 & Goodreads Year In Books!

🌟Hello guys and welcome to one of the most exciting posts of the year! That was kind of ironic since today, we're going through the best books of 2017! Time went by in a blur but and the days passed without me even realizing it. But, I had a good reading year - better than the previous one at least - and read some amazing books that taught me so much! I also discovered some new authors, fell in love with countless characters and was introduced to even more fictional worlds! Choosing favorites will always be the hardest part of being a book lover but, it has to be done! Putting this post together has probably been the most difficult thing I've had to do recently but, I really hope you enjoy it! I've thought about doing a Most Disappointing Books as well so, that one might be posted in a couple of days. They're not that many but, I think it'd be interesting to put together.

🌟I decided to include something different in this post as well and share with you my
🌟I thought about doing a separate post on it first but, decided to include it in this one! It's a meme officially hosted by Bite Into Books so, make sure to click on the link and check out other bloggers and their 2017 statistics!

I stumbled upon this one completely by accident and I did not expect to love it as much as I did. It's beautifully written and it actually made me cry with its heartbreaking but, at the same time, poignant and hopeful plot! I cannot wait to pick up more books by Katherine Rundell! Her writing style is pure magic and I couldn't have been happier for discovering this gem while in a desperate state of  the usual ''What shall I read next?'' question!
This one was quite obvious since I've been mentioning it a lot lately! Tahereh Mafi will never stop surprising and inspiring me with her beautifully woven words and fascinating settings! I feel like this is a book you'll either love or hate and you have to be extremely committed in the story itself in order to actually understand it. I personally - and quite obviously - fell in love with it and I had to include it in this list!
I immensely regret not reading this one sooner! It had been sitting on my shelves for years and I'm not even exaggerating. I was actually thinking about giving it away since I couldn't see myself picking it up anytime soon. I have no idea what held me back but, once I entered the world Leigh Bardugo created, it was impossible to let go of. I can't wait to finish The Grisha Trilogy and pick up Six of Crows! I'm currently reading Siege and Storm, in case you guys were wondering!
Moxie is the definition of revolution and I couldn't have been more grateful to Jennifer Mathieu for writing this masterpiece! Both its characters and its plot are extremely relatable. The beginning frustrated me, the middle overwhelmed me and the ending itself made me hope for a better future. It made me believe that we can change the world, as long as we stand together for what we believe in. It's an inspiring and motivational story that you cannot miss!
I've mentioned The Falconer a lot since reading it because it kind of relates to the Shadow & Bone situation that I explained above. I had my eye on it for year and kept seeing it at the bookstore but, never picked it up for some stupid reason. And one day, I just got tired of it sitting there, at the same shelf and not being purchased by anyone. So, I just went for it. Obviously did not regret it! It has a little bit of everything, kind of like a merging of all the different Genres into one wonderful novel that will blow your minds!
Tied is the best New Adult book I've read in quite some time so, I had to include it! What both its characters went through broke my heart into a million pieces and their happily ever after put them back together! A raw and poignant story that will have you hooked from the very first chapters!
This one can be categorized as Historical Fiction, Fantasy and Paranormal so, if you're a fan of any of those Genres, I cannot recommend it enough! I did not expect to be blown away by it or even enjoy it but I'm so glad I decided to give it a chance! It was extremely unique and I could not stop reading it! I feel like its also quite underrated so, if you enjoy Fantasy go grab yourself a copy because it's definitely worth it. Believe me, you won't regret it!
Another one I was not expecting to fall in love with! It's the perfect light mystery but, at the same time, there's this sort of addicting suspense throughout it that just makes you want to keep reading until you reach the final chapter. I was so pleasantly surprised by how much I loved Dial Meow For Murder and I cannot wait to pick up more of the authors work. Also, I can't even begin to tell you guys how many Cozy Mysteries I've added to my TBR list since reading this one!

  2. I have my eye on Tied by Carian Cole. It looks like something I would like and is new to me. I started reading Leigh Bardugo's Six of crows and even purchased the second book but I am not liking it so far. I'm kind of disappointed because I had high hopes for it. I long to find a good fantasy to get into but this one just isn't doing it for me .
My first impression of The Daemoniac is that it looks pagan and Wiccan. Even though fantasy and paranormal are my favourite genres, historical fiction is not. Your post was super awesome and I enjoyed your list of books, thanks for sharing!

    1. I immensely enjoyed Tied and if you like New Adult, I cannot recommend it enough. As for Six of Crows, it's been sitting on my shelves since it came out but, I really want to finish The Grisha Trilogy before picking it up. So sorry you didn't enjoy it. I definitely have high expectations as well and I really hope I won't be disappointed. I was actually pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed The Daemoniac. It was very unpredictable and different from what I've read in the past. It's a little bit of everything when it comes to Genre. And even though it does have a Historical setting, I kind of forgot about it for the majority of the book since it was overshadowed by everything else that was going on so, that might help! Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to comment!
