*One of Us is Lying By Karen M. McManus
Publication Date: May 2017
Genres: Young Adult, Contemporary, Mystery
This is one of my most anticipated read of the whole and I can't wait to start reading it! It will probably be my next read as soon as I finish what I'm currently reading so, stay tuned because you'll be hearing my thoughts on it soon!
*The Girl Savage By Katherine Rundell
Publication Date: January 2011
Genres: Middle Grade, Realistic Fiction
I loved Rooftoppers by Katherine Rundell and her writing made me want to read everything she's ever written and will write in the future! It's quite extraordinary and I cannot wait to taste a bit more of her magic in The Girl Savage!
*The Manifesto on How to be Interesting By Holly Bourney
Publication Date: August 2014
Genres: Young Adult, Contemporary
I've had another book by Holly Bourne sitting on my shelves for ages and I still have not picked it up. That's why I was skeptical on whether to purchase another book by her or not. But, the synopsis was super intriguing and I cheated a bit in the bookstore, meaning that I read some chapters and voila, I bought it. Wish me luck!
*Peter Pan By J.M. Barrie
Publication Date: October 1911
Genres: Classic, Fantasy, Children's
Just thinking about Peter Pan wakes up this bittersweet nostalgia inside of me so, I decided to treat myself with another copy. It's not the one in the picture but, I couldn't find the one I actually purchased so, there you have it!
*The Legend of Sleepy Hollow and Other Stories By Washington Irving
Publication Date: 19th Century
Genres: Classic, Short Stories, Fiction
I've never been a huge fan of Washington Irving just because his stories have this Gothic element to them that, I'm not really fond of but, I really wanted to read The Legend of Sleepy Hollows after watching the show. The probably have nothing to do with each other but, I'm curious so, it's my goal to read it soon!
*The Gunslinger {The Dark Tower #1} By Stephen King
Publication Date: June 2003
Genres: Fantasy, Fiction
I really wanted to get my hands on this one and actually read it before watching the movie but, unfortunately, I ended up DNFing it. I just thought I'd mention it since I did purchase it quite recently. It was just too slow paced for me and I wasn't really into it from the beginning so, I decided to put it down. .
Hope you guys had a wonderful week and read a lot! I certainly did and cannot wait for more! Don't forget to let me know whether you've read any of the books featured in this week's STS post and of course, tell me which books you added to your shelves!
