Top Ten Most Unique Books I've Read {Top Ten Tuesday}

Hello and welcome to another Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by the wonderful people over @ The Broke and the Bookish! Definitely one of my favorite things to post!

Today, I'm going to be sharing with you the Top Ten
I put together ten books for you but, there are obviously more that I might have mentioned in previous posts on this blog! They will all be featured one way or another so, stay tuned for future Top Ten Tuesdays by following Book Lady's Reviews!

Don't forget to comment below, telling me if you've read any of these and whether you enjoyed them or not!
*The Sea of Tranquility By Katja Millay
Publication Date: November 2012
Genres: Young Adult, Contemporary

This is a very special book that I think everyone needs to read! It's beautifully written and it deals with some very serious topics  the author did a great job of exploring and unraveling through this book.

*Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children By Ransom Riggs
Publication Date: June 2011
Genres: Young Adult, Fantasy

This is probably one of the most unique books I've ever had the chance to read. I stayed away from it for a very long time until I saw the movie. It intrigued me and I really wanted to see if it had any similarities with the book. They were completely different but, I immensely enjoyed both. The pictures inside just made the whole experience even better and took reading to a whole new level of perfection!

*The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes By Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
Publication Date: 1887?
Genres: Classic, Mystery

I've always been fascinated with Sherlock Holmes! I love crime stories and of course, I couldn't help but fall in love with the eccentric and brilliant detective, as well as his loyal assistant. I've read Sherlock and Watson's adventures so many times and truth be told, I don't think I'll ever stop! If I could meet a fictional character, I would definitely choose Sherlock and Watson! Plus, Arthur Conan Doyle was a brilliant man himself so, his characters couldn't have been anything less than what they are!

*The Ruins of Gorlan {Ranger's Apprentice #1} By John Flanagan

Publication Date: June 2006
Genres: Young Adult, Fantasy

I've read this book so many times that, I've actually lost count. I used to borrow it from the library all the time but, they never brought the rest of the books and I've been meaning to pick them up and continue on with the series but something always gets in the way. It's perfect for children, as well as adults and it has some historical elements in it as well. Definitely reminds me of Robin Hood and something that would have taken place in Merlin's era!

*Reawakened By Colleen Houck

Publication Date: August 2015
Genres: Young Adult, Fantasy

I love Mythology in general but I've actually never come across a book about Egyptian Mythology! Which is what made this book unique for me even before I started reading. It wasn't my favorite ever but I definitely enjoyed it and the author's writing more than I thought!

*Uprooted By Naomi Novik

Publication Date: May 2015
Genres: Young Adult, Fantasy, Re-telling

Magical, haunting and wonderfully written, Uprooted is one of the best books I've read in a while. I've talked about it before but, I'm pretty sure that, I'll never stop mentioning it here and there! It was truly magnificent!

*Touch of Frost {Mythos Academy} By Jennifer Estep

Publication Date: August 2011
Genres: Young Adult, Urban Fantasy, Paranormal

The complexity of the plot and the many twists and turns that followed, along with my connection to the characters from the very first second I started reading Touch of Frost, made the series very unique for me! It's very different from anything else I've read concerning Mythology and has a lot of interesting elements mixed into it. That makes the series even more fascinating and exciting to read!

*Moon Called {Mercy Thompson} By Patricia Briggs

Publication Date: January 2006
Genres: Adult, Fantasy, Paranormal

One of my favorite series, what makes Mercy unique is her kick-ass character and her ability to stay ahead of things without losing her charming self. If I could live in any fictional world/universe, I would have definitely chosen Mercy's. I don't think my interest for this series and its characters will ever fade so, I plan on re-reading it. I actually just finished re-reading Moon Called and I might have loved it a bit more than the first time!

*Alice {The Chronicles of Alice #1} By Christina Herny

Publication Date: August 2015
Genres: Fantasy, Horror, Re-telling

One of the darkest re-telllings I've ever read, Alice is definitely more than unique! It is absolutely brilliant! It's crazy, different and completely unpredictable!

*Angelbound By Christina Bauer

Publication Date: September 2016
Genres: Fantasy, Paranormal

I didn't even expect loving Angelbound, much less categorizing it as one of the most unique books I've ever read! It was one of the best surprises, where reading is concerned and I cannot recommend it enough!

That was it for today's Top Ten Tuesday! Hope you found this post helpful and enjoyable!
