Top Ten Tuesday REWIND!

Hello and welcome to another Top Ten Tuesday hosted by the Broke and the Bookish.Today we're choosing the topic and I decided to go with "Ten Books I Just Had to Buy...But Are Still Sitting on My Bookshelf."I think this is a really interesting topic and let's face it...We all have books that we were dying to buy and read but haven't picked up yet.

*Shadow & Bone By Leigh Bardugo
I've heard so many good things about this one so of course I couldn't wait to get my hands on it.I actually started reading it and then stopped because I had so many other things to do...And now it's just sitting there...Until I decide to pick it up again.
*Under the Never Sky By Veronica Rossi

Another series I'm dying to start and the first book has been sitting on my bookshelf for months.I really want to start the trilogy, especially now that the third book came out but I just can't find it in me to pick it up.
*Bloodlines By Richelle Mead
Yes...I haven't started the series yet. When I learned that my favorite series was going to continue in a way...I was thrilled. And I picked up the first book immediately. But I haven't read it yet.Maybe it's because of these ridiculous thoughts going around in my head and telling me that I will forget about the Vampire Academy if I read Bloodlines.Crazy right?
*Antigoddess By Kendare Blake
I was so excited and fascinated by the concept of this book so I had to get my hands on it when it came out...I haven't read it yet.Yeah...
*The 5th Wave By Rick Yancey
After all the hype I'm just afraid to read The 5th Wave.Seriously...Over hyped books tend to scare me a bit...

*A Game of Thrones By George R.R. Martin
This is the only book that has ever managed to intimidate me.I don't even know how other people managed to read it.I will read it too though...Sometime.When it finally stops intimidating me...
*Thirteen Reasons Why By Jay Asher
I bought this book with the purpose of reading it immediately before I changed my mind. And that's what exactly happened.Because me and sad books?Just no.I've read sad books before but when it comes to suicide...I can't take it.But I really want to try and read it this year...And probably be depressed for the rest of my life because I've been really emotional lately...

*Die For Me By Amy Plum

This is one of those books that I was dying to get my hands on.It had been on my wishlist for a long time and then I finally got it...It's been sitting on my shelf since then...
*The Fault in Our Stars By John Green
I haven't read it yet.Nothing else needs to be said...
*The Unbecoming of Mare Dyer By Michelle Hodkin
This is probably one -if not the only- of the few books that I have owned for more than a year but haven't read yet.I know...I'm terrible.

What books were you dying to read...But are still sitting on your bookshelf?

  1. Yes, this definitely happens to us all... I've got quite a few that I really wanted to read but just haven't been in the mood for since.

  2. Good list, I loved The Fault in Our Stars and Thirteen Reasons Why even though they're both sad books I think there sad in different ways in Thirteen Reasons Why we already know how the story ends and that's what makes it sad and also quite frustrating. The Fault in Our Stars actually is really funny it has this wicked dark sense of humor and also a super sweet romance but the ending was sad but the first half of the book was quite happy so I recommend reading both books even if sad isn't your thing, I'd say it wasn't mine either but then I remember how sad most of my favorite story arcs are and realize that I just need to be prepared for the sadness.
Game of Thrones is a great book and I completely understand why you find it intimidating but it's actually not a hard read I mean it's long but I won't call it dense which makes it easy to read some point of views are easier than others such as Tryion, Sansa or Arya I find a whole lot easier to get through than Jon or Catylen's but still an overall great book you should definitely read since it's worth your time.

    1. I'll definitely pick up Thirteen Reasons Why and The Fault in Our Stars.I really want to read TFIOS this year before the movie comes out and then pick up Thirteen Reason Why.I'll just have to stop putting it off.And I'll read Game of Thrones someday.Probably during a vacation.I'll dedicate my time to finishing it...Hopefully.Thanks for stopping by and commenting!

  5. No, not Bloodlines. I postponed reading it because of the length, but was glad to finally delve into it. Hope you feel the same.

  6. Tiger Lily! I've just....agh, I need to read it. And it's caaaalling me. I'd also love to read Game of Thrones and The 5th Wave. I kind of got turned off the 5th Wave originally because I heard a lot of lousy reviews, but it seems that most people DO like it. I'm so looking into it again. :) My TTT!
