The Seven Deadly Sins Series #1 By Fisher Amelie - Vain {REVIEW}

If you’re looking for a story about a good, humble girl, who’s been hurt by someone she thought she could trust, only to find out she’s not as vulnerable as she thought she was and discovers an empowering side of herself that falls in love with the guy who helps her find that self, blah, blah, blah...then you’re gonna’ hate my story.

Because mine is not the story you read every time you bend back the cover of the latest trend novel. It’s not the “I can do anything, now that I’ve found you/I’m misunderstood but one day you’ll find me irresistible because of it” tale. Why? Because, if I was being honest with you, I’m a complete witch. There’s nothing redeeming about me. I’m a friend using, drug abusing, sex addict from Los Angeles. I’m every girlfriend’s worst nightmare and every boy’s fantasy.

I’m Sophie Price...And this is the story about how I went from the world’s most envied girl to the girl no one wanted around and why I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world.
Sophie is not a good girl.She's spoiled and filthy rich,with parent who only care about appearances.On the outside,she seems like she doesn't care,she does what she wants without asking but on the inside,she's hurt and angry with the world.Nobody really cares about her so she parties hard,drinks and of course takes drugs.She uses everyone and everyone is afraid of her.But when a party is crashed by the cops and she is found taking drugs,everything changes.She has to spend six months in an orphanage in Uganda.She's scared and not ready for something different.It takes one moment for her life to change and she can't do anything about it.And this new world is going to change her forever!

This book was PHENOMENAL!The writing was fantastic and the author did a great job of making Sophie's life real and believable.I felt so many things while reading this book and I was with Sophie in every step of the way.I laughed,cried,yelled,grew angry...And the end just about killed me.The story is told in such a beautiful way and I got sucked into it from the beginning.It's told from Sophie's POV which makes it even better!Once I started reading,I couldn't stop.It was just so captivating and something happened at all times.It was unpredictable,beautiful and full of twists.The plot was so unique and the story was wonderful, heartbreaking,powerful,exciting...the list goes on and on.I would be lying if I said that I was satisfied with the ending.I wanted more...And the last chapters brought tears to my eyes and broke my heart just to put it back together.

Sophie was one of the most intriguing characters I've ever read about!She seems tough and bad on the outside but on the inside,she's broken.This book shows how the lack of care,love and true happiness can damage someone.She was introduced as this bad girl who used everyone and didn't  care about anything.But despite her flaws and behavior she was an amazing girl who didn't know the true meaning of happiness because she was never happy.When she goes to the orphanage as a volunteer, her whole life changes.She meets new people that show her the meaning of true love,loyalty and change her for the better.Sophie developed so much as a character throughout the book and I loved it.She went from being spoiled and vain to a caring girl who learned what true love is and eventually found what was missing from her life.

And everything that happened in Uganda broke my heart.I connected and fell in love with all those beautiful and strong children who survived.I can't say that I'm not informed about everything that happens, but this was completely different.Brought to life so many bad and unacceptable things that happen in the world.I can't even find a word strong enough to explain it.Those children were the definition of innocence but they experienced so many hideous things and had their childhoods stolen.What I loved though was the fact that they kept living,they were happy and always laughed!And they changed Sophie.She was willing to do anything for them and she proved it countless times.

And lets not forget about Ian.He was a perfect male character,so sweet,caring and just...perfect.He was the reason Sophie found true love.At first,he was a bit cold towards her and it seemed like he didn't even like her but as the story progressed,he started falling for her.They did great things together and the feelings they had for each other were pretty obvious!

This was such an emotional and wonderful read.It took me to an amazing journey which I will never forget.It took my breath away and I've never read anything like it before.A book about the value of life,the meaning of true friendships,the beauty that comes with loving someone and the importance of it.If you haven't read it yet....what are you waiting for?
