Graffiti Moon By Cath Crowley

Graffiti Moon follows the story of Lucy and Ed,the night she graduates from high school and they get stuck together. Those two don't actually have what you'd call a friendly relationship since,Lucy ended up punching him in the face and breaking his noise at the most awkward date of her life.Together, they venture out in the middle of the night and search for Shadow.A graffiti artist Lucy has been trying to find and meet for a long time, since she admires his work and she believes that he's a different guy and they could have something together. After going to a party with Ed and their friends, she discovers that Ed might actually be more cool than she previously thought. So they spend the night together searching for a shadow.Literally.That is because Lucy, can't see the one thing that's right before her eyes. But on the journey Ed and Lucy get to know each other better and discover things about each other.Something they didn't get to do during that first date.

This was one of the most creative and fascinating books I have ever read.I was completely hooked and couldn't stop reading. The entire book speaks about art and the things the characters feel when they talk about art and look at it.This book is also one of the most realistic ones I've ever read.I could imagine the characters as real and reading this book,it was like a movie playing inside my head if that makes any sense.I could almost see the pieces the author described throughout the book in front of me.Reading Graffiti Moon made me more interested in glass blowing.I saw some videos and let me tell you...glass blowing is fascinating. One of the most amazing things I have ever seen.

Graffiti Moon is told from both Ed and Lucy's POVs,with some poems after some chapters Poet,Shadow's friend in crime wrote. That was really clever and entertaining to read as well. The writing style was just...beautiful.The story was so beautifully written, with so many fascinating lines and quotes that I wouldn't mind rereading the book, just so I could highlight them and remember them. The only thing that some people might consider a drawback, including myself is that the whole thing was a bit predictable. That doesn't mean anything though. It certainly doesn't mean that I wouldn't read it again!

The story and everything that happens, happens in a day.Yeah that's right. And that's impressive. And that day changes everything.A day full of sad, beautiful, fascinating and happy things.A day I loved and would like to live but that's just impossible!!!
