Top Ten Debuts I'm Looking Forward to In 2018 {Top Ten Tuesday}

Hello guys and welcome to the last Top Ten Tuesday post of the year! This is a weekly feature, hosted by the wonderful people over at The Broke and the Bookish!

Today, I'm not here to share with you my Top Ten of 2017 because we're doing that in a Yearly Favorites post, which you should stay tuned for! That being said, I'm here to talk about the Top Ten
Make sure to let me know which debuts or new releases in general you're most excited for and leave your links in the comments below so that I can check them out!

Also, let me know whether you're interested in reading any of the books featured in today's post!

*Your One & Only By Adrianne Finlay
Publication Date: February 6th, 2018
Genres: Young Adult, Science Fiction, Dystopia

Can you believe that, I've never read a book that actually features clones in it? And if I have, so many years have passed since then that, it's completely wiped out of my memory. Jack, the main character, is a walking fossil. Doesn't that term sound terrifying? And on top of that, he's the only human among a sea of clones. Nothing more I could have asked for. Plus, the release of this one is quite close and it's been ages since I've picked up a Dystopian.

*A Touch of Gold By Annie Sullivan
Publication Date: August 14th, 2017
Genres: Young Adult, Fantasy

If I had any sort of time and space machine, I would transport myself to August 14th and gt my hands on this book. Yes, I'd be willing to seriously damage the time sphere in order to acquire A Touch of Gold. Pretty dramatic, I know but, no book has fascinated me as much as this one! Mainly because my poor soul will never be able to resist anything that has to do with Mythology, just a side note.

*Beyond A Darkened Shore By Jessica Leake
Publication Date: April 10th,2018
Genres: Young Adult, Fantasy

Another one that has to do with Mythology and I cannot wait to get my hands on. This is not a debut guys, which I found out just after I put everything together for this post and started writing it so, we're just going to pretend that this post includes both debuts and most anticipated book releases.

*Ash Princess By Laura Sebastian
Publication Date: April 24th, 2018
Genres: Young Adult, Fantasy

The cover of this one is so medieval looking that, I'm even more intrigued to read it! Especially after reading its synopsis! The name of the main character also got me very excited! Theodosia is actually a Greek name and its roots mean God's gift. Thought I'd share that little bit of information with you guys! Hope you find it interesting!
*The Midnights By Sarah Nicole Smetana
Publication Date: March 6th, 2018
Genres: Young Adult, Contemporary

Everyone knows I'm a total sucker for any Contemporary that has been released in the history of literature. I just cannot help it. Contemporaries of any sort are my guilty pleasure and I can't get enough of them. Of course this doesn't mean that I've enjoyed every single one that I've read but, that's definitely not going to stop me from binge reading them. Whenever I can, obviously! A bit of information about this particular one though: set against the scintillating landscape of Southern California, The Midnights is an evocative coming-of-age debut about loss, creativity, and finding your voice while you're still finding yourself.

*Ten After Closing By Jessica Bayliss
Publication Date: June 5th, 2018
Genres: Young Adult, Contemporary

Another one that's not really a debut but, it's still a 2018 release and it sounds amazing! It follows some very tragic events that take place ten minutes after closing, exactly like the title suggests. Shot are fired, people are killed and the main characters are held hostage in Cafe Flores, where Scott works and Winny gets stranded in.

*A Girl Like That By Tanaz Bhathena
Publication Date: February 27th, 2018
Genres: Young Adult, Contemporary

Another one I'm literally dying to get my hands on! Too bad time machines haven't been invented yet. You should definitely mark your calendars for this one, without even reading its synopsis. Believe me, you won't regret it!
*Always Never Yours By Emily Wibberley & Austin Siegemund-Broka
Publication Date: May 22nd, 2018
Genres: Young Adult, Contemporary

This sounds unlike any Contemporary I've personally read before and it peaked my interest from the moment I laid my eyes on it. Sounds like a very cozy, fun and enjoyable read, which I'm obviously all up for! I'd love to see a movie adaptation of this one, by the way. I think it would make the perfect Romantic Comedy!

*Wrong In All the Right Ways By Tiffany Brownlee
Publication Date: July 17th, 2018
Genres: Young Adult, Contemporary

The title of this one is pure magic. It's so lyrical and makes you want to pick up the book itself immediately! Because words have the fascinating ability to carry us away and these particular ones - meaning the title - make the restless butterflies that have taken residence inside my heart, flutter around like crazy. That was pretty poetic of me, right?

*Where I Live By Brenda Rufener
Publication Date: February 27th, 2018
Genres: Young Adult, Contemporary

This one is extremely intriguing and I seriously cannot wait for it! Our main character is a homeless teenager, living in the halls of her town's High School. When the school's cool girl is seen walking around the corridors with a split lip, n investigation to figure out the truth begins and breaking the rules is inevitable.

That was it for today's post! Hope you guys are having the best time during the holiday break and are spending it doing the things you love with the people you love! I'm taking one week of from blogging to enjoy my time with family and friends but, I have reviews and other posts scheduled so, technically, it's not going to look like it because they'll be up throughout the week. Regardless of that, I'll still be doing a lot of reading and studying so, it won't be too much of a break...

On a more festive note, what do you guys plan on doing for New Year's Eve? Cozy night in with family or out partying with friends until the early hours of the morning? Both scenarios appeal to me but, I don't really have anythign planned yet. Maybe a little bit of both will do!

Last but not least, I'm currently reading Siege and Storm and I have absolutely no idea about what I'm going to pick up next. Even though I have so many books sitting unread on my shelves. Any recommendations?

Until the next post,

  5. I want to read several of these, too! Ash Princess and A Girl Like That sound especially good. I also like how Always Never Yours is gonna play with Shakespeare; I love when YA books do that.

    1. I love YA Contemporaries that are re-tellings but have a modern setting! I've read a few throughout the years but, they don't come across that often, unfortunately.
