Top Ten Books that Have Been on my TBR Shelf for Ages! {Top Ten Tuesday}

Welcome to another Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by the wonderful people over at The Broke and the Bookish.

Today, I really wanted to share with you the Top Ten
There are so many books that have been sitting on my shelves for years. Years! And I haven't read yet. Story of my life.

Comment below telling me which books have been on your shelves for the longest! Do you ever plan on reading them?

*The Fault In Our Stars By John Green
I know this is one of the most popular books. Ever. And it's been sitting on my shelves for the longest time! I'll probably never end up reading it but, who knows.

*Ketchup Clouds By Annabel Pitcher
I remember being very excited to own this book. The synopsis was so interesting and I couldn't wait to actually start reading it. Obviously, I never did. I really want to though, sometime in the future!

*Amy & Matthew: A Love Story By Cammie McGovern
I've heard so many great things about Amy & Matthew, but I still haven't picked it up. Even though I already own it. Even though it's been sitting on my shelves for the past three - maybe more - years.

*Forgive me, Leonard Peacock By Matthew Quick
I picked this up a couple of years ago, mainly because of the author. And the synopsis made me even more interested in it but, I never picked it up.

*The Things You Kiss Goodbye By Leslie Connor
I actually pre-ordered this book. Which is very surprising because I rarely pre-order books in general so, the fact that I haven't read it yet has an even bigger impact on my reader consciousness. Is that even a thing?

*Shadow and Bone By Leigh Bardugo
I really regret never picking this one up. It's one of my goals to read the entire series this year.

*Seraphina By Rachel Hartman
Seraphina has been sitting on my shelves for years and years. Dragons have always fascinated me. That's a fact. That's why I picked it up without second thought. Unfortunately, I don't think that I'm ever going to read it.

*Darkness Becomes Her By Kelly Keaton
This is another book that I want to read this year. And maybe continue on with the rest of the series if I enjoy it. It sounds amazing, it has always fascinated me but it just wasn't one of my priorities. That has to change because something tells me that I might enjoy it more than expected.

*Blood Red Road By Moira Young
I got this back when I was really into the Dystopian Genre. I read a couple of pages and it was interesting but the writing didn't sit well with me so, I think I'll never end up reading it. Even though I've had it for, four years maybe.

*The 5th Wave By Rick Yancey
Another Dystopian that, I'll probably never read. I really want to but seriously? Something is holding me back. I've also been hearing some negative things about the rest of the books so, I really don't want to start another series and give up on it because of the sequels.

Those were some of the books that have been sitting on my shelves for a while. Some of them, I do plan on reading soon but others, not really. So, I think I'll probably give those to someone else or exchange them at my local thrift store for other books that I might be interested in.

What books have been sitting on your shelf, unread for the a very long time?

Comments

  1. I did end up reading The Fault in Our Stars a while back because I was working with teens and wanted to find out what all the fuss was about! I didn't really get it, but then I am an old fogey, so I'm not exactly the target audience. ;-)

    1. That's the main reason I have no interest in reading it anymore. I think it won't live up to what everyone is making it up to be! Thanks for stopping by!

  2. I'm curious about Ketchup Clouds simply for its title! WAY to intrigue. Happy reading when you have the chance to get to these TBR titles. :)
